Group Riding Rules

The purpose of riding in an organized group instead of an undisciplined pack is to provide the additional safety that a well-organized group inherently generates. This comes from within the group and from the outside. When a group rides in an orderly fashion, people don't get in each others way, and the organization of the formation itself discourages cars from attempting to cut in.

Medical ID Card

In an emergency situation, you may not be able to speak and give vital information concerning your health. Medical providers must sometimes treat accident victims without having any basic medical information about the individual or any way to contact someone who could provide crucial information.

A medical information card would prove to be invaluable in providing treatment by attending medics or other medical personnel. A medical identification bracelet or pendant is recommended to alert emergency medical personnel of your wallet card.

ICE

If you carry a cell phone with you everywhere, Emergency Services personnel are asking that you load Emergency Contact telephone numbers in your Cell Phone's Address book. This is a good thing - especially if you have a medical emergency or accident and are unable to respond to emergency personnel.

Start the entry in your address book with ICE which stands for In Case of Emergency. Load at least 2 numbers so you would have ICE1 - (Spouse or better half), ICE2 - Parents and so on. They would be the best beside you to know any allergies you have, medical history and also be the ones to be notified if something terrible happens.
